b. Are online relationships (by WhatsApp, Skype, Facebook...) better than face-to-face ones? Write a for and against essay on this topic.

Solución: In recent decades, communication technology has transformed how we connect with others. While platforms like WhatsApp or Skype allow us to stay in touch effortlessly, whether online relationships are superior to face-to-face ones remains widely debated. On the one hand, digital communication offers undeniable convenience. It breaks geographic barriers, allowing people to maintain friendships across the globe regardless of distance or time zones. In addition, social networks make it easier for shy individuals to express their thoughts without the pressure of direct physical interaction. It is also an immediate and flexible way to share news and daily updates. On the other hand, online interactions lack the depth and warmth of real contact. Non-verbal language, such as eye contact, physical touch, and body gestures, plays a fundamental role in building trust and empathy. As recent scientific studies show, physical presence releases hormones like oxytocin, which reduce stress and strengthen emotional bonds. Without this, digital connections can feel superficial and may even lead to feelings of loneliness. In conclusion, although online tools are invaluable for maintaining contact across distances, they cannot replace the authenticity of direct human interaction. A healthy balance of both is essential in modern life.
