Solución: Nowadays, technology plays an essential role in almost every aspect of our lives. From smartphones and laptops to social networks and video games, we are constantly connected to digital devices. However, this omnipresence raises an important question: can technology actually become addictive? In my opinion, it undoubtedly can. First of all, digital platforms and applications are specifically engineered to keep users hooked. Social media algorithms, for example, provide instant rewards through notifications, likes, and endless scrolling. This constant stimulation triggers dopamine releases in the brain, similar to other addictive behaviors. As a result, many teenagers and adults spend hours staring at screens instead of engaging in physical exercise, socializing in person, or focusing on their studies. Furthermore, excessive use of technology often leads to psychological and physical problems. People suffering from screen addiction frequently experience anxiety when separated from their devices, sleep disturbances, and poor academic or work performance. In conclusion, while technology offers undeniable benefits for communication and learning, its uncontrolled use can develop into a serious addiction. Therefore, individuals must learn to set clear boundaries and establish healthy digital habits.
