Do you think the roles of men and women in society have changed over the last fifty years? Justify your answer.

Solución: Over the past fifty years, gender roles in society have transformed dramatically in most parts of the world. While traditional expectations once limited women largely to domestic duties and designated men as the sole financial providers, today's reality reflects a much more balanced and diverse dynamic. First and foremost, women have entered the workforce in unprecedented numbers, attaining leadership positions in politics, science, and corporate business. Higher education rates among women have surpassed those of men in many countries, fostering financial independence and professional recognition. Simultaneously, the definition of fatherhood and masculinity has shifted: men increasingly take active roles in domestic chores, childcare, and emotional support within the family. However, full equality has not yet been achieved. Persistent issues such as the gender pay gap, underrepresentation in executive roles, and the burden of the "second shift" at home continue to affect women disproportionately. In conclusion, although cultural norms and legal frameworks have advanced remarkably, achieving genuine equality requires sustained effort across all areas of modern society.
