A.5 Write about 150 to 200 words on the following topic: "Passion vs. Money". Which reasons will determine your university degree choice?

Solución: When deciding what to study at university, students often face a classic dilemma: should they follow their passion or choose a degree that guarantees a well-paid job? In my opinion, while financial stability is undeniably important, passion should be the primary driving force behind this decision. On the one hand, earning a decent salary allows individuals to achieve financial independence, pay off student debts, and live comfortably. High-demand fields such as engineering, medicine, and economics clearly offer higher job security and lucrative salaries from an early stage. On the other hand, spending four or five years studying a demanding subject that one dislikes can lead to frustration and burnout. Moreover, a professional career spans several decades. Doing work that brings genuine fulfilment and curiosity motivates people to excel and innovate, which often translates into professional success anyway. In conclusion, although the economic outlook cannot be entirely ignored, I believe that personal passion and motivation must determine my degree choice. Striking a healthy balance between what one loves and viable career opportunities is the key to both happiness and sustainable success.
