Solución: Sample response: Throughout history, many figures have left an indelible mark on humanity, but my favourite historical character is undoubtedly Marie Curie. Born in Warsaw in 1867, she overcame immense social and financial barriers to become one of the most brilliant scientists the world has ever known. There are several compelling reasons for my admiration. Firstly, her relentless passion and determination allowed her to become the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, and she remains the only person to receive Nobel Prizes in two different scientific fields: Physics and Chemistry. Her pioneering research on radioactivity laid the foundation for modern nuclear physics and cancer radiotherapy. Secondly, Curie showed exemplary selflessness. During World War I, she developed mobile radiography units, known as 'petites Curies', and drove them to the front lines to help wounded soldiers. Furthermore, she deliberately chose not to patent her discoveries, believing that scientific knowledge should belong to all humankind. In conclusion, Marie Curie embodies perseverance, intellectual brilliance, and generosity. Her legacy continues to inspire countless young people, especially women in STEM, to pursue knowledge regardless of the obstacles in their path.
