5.b. Imagine one of your friends is gifted. Write about all the experiences he/she has gone through.

Solución: My closest friend, Lucas, has always been different from anyone else I know. When we were just eight years old, he was already solving advanced algebra problems and reading encyclopaedias. Soon afterwards, he was officially identified as gifted, a label that changed his life in both positive and challenging ways. At first, school was immensely frustrating for him. He finished every assignment within minutes and spent the rest of the day daydreaming or being reprimanded by teachers who assumed he was simply not paying attention. Some classmates even teased him because of his unusual interests in robotics and philosophy, which made him feel quite isolated. Fortunately, things improved when our school implemented an enrichment program. Lucas was finally able to work on stimulating projects and connect with mentors who encouraged his curiosity. Moreover, his family always supported his emotional well-being without imposing excessive pressure on him. Watching Lucas grow has taught me that exceptional intelligence is not just an effortless superpower. It brings unique hurdles, but with empathy and the right educational environment, gifted teenagers can truly flourish without sacrificing their happiness.
