4.1. Write an opinion article about this topic: Is telling lies culturally accepted in your society? Do you think that is a good thing? Why/why not? (120 words)

Solución: Sample opinion article: Honesty is generally considered a fundamental virtue, yet in our daily lives, small lies often seem surprisingly accepted. In my society, so-called "white lies" are frequently used to avoid hurting someone's feelings or to ease social interactions, such as complimenting an unwanted gift or giving an excuse for being late. In my view, while polite excuses can prevent unnecessary conflict, relying on deceit is ultimately harmful. When minor lies become habitual, they erode mutual trust between friends, families, and institutions. True respect requires tactful honesty rather than convenient falsehoods. In conclusion, although society tolerates deception for the sake of politeness, we should value sincerity more. Genuine relationships can only thrive when founded on truth.
