Question 3 - 3.2 · Inglés PAU Galicia Extraordinaria 2023

3.2. WRITE A COMPOSITION ANSWERING THESE QUESTIONS: Do you think young people are aware of the dangers of alcohol? Why? (Approximately 120 words)

Solución: Sample answer: In my opinion, most young people are not completely aware of the real dangers of alcohol. Although they often receive information at school and from their families, they tend to believe that serious consequences only affect older people or chronic alcoholics. First of all, drinking is widely normalized in social gatherings. Many teenagers drink because of peer pressure or simply to feel more confident and accepted in a group. Consequently, they often underestimate the risks of binge drinking, which can lead to alcohol poisoning, dangerous accidents, or violent behavior. In conclusion, while youth may have basic theoretical knowledge about alcohol, they often lack awareness of its immediate risks. More realistic educational campaigns are necessary to encourage responsible attitudes.
