Ejercicio 5 - Opción A · Inglés PAU Extremadura Extraordinaria 2025

A. What would you do in the event of a natural catastrophe?

Solución: Sample composition (120-150 words): If I were faced with a natural catastrophe, such as a major earthquake or a severe flood, my immediate priority would be to ensure the safety of my family and myself. First of all, I would try to stay calm and assess the surrounding hazards. In case of an earthquake, I would take cover under a sturdy piece of furniture or move away from windows and heavy objects. Once the initial danger passed, I would check for injuries and turn off gas and electricity supplies to prevent further accidents. Furthermore, I would grab an emergency kit containing essential items like drinking water, canned food, a flashlight, and basic medical supplies. Finally, I would follow official updates through battery-powered devices and cooperate with emergency services to help vulnerable neighbors before evacuating to a safe shelter.
