B5. Do you think that today's diseases, for example cancer, will disappear in the near future?

Solución: Sample composition (opinion essay, 130–150 words): In recent decades, medicine and biotechnology have advanced at an incredible pace. However, whether today's diseases like cancer will completely disappear in the near future remains a controversial question. On the one hand, groundbreaking treatments such as immunotherapy, gene editing, and personalized therapies are transforming healthcare. Many conditions that were once fatal can now be controlled or cured, which gives us reason to be optimistic about future breakthroughs. On the other hand, cancer is not a single disease, but a complex group of hundreds of cellular malfunctions. In addition, viruses and bacteria constantly mutate, creating new challenges for science. Developing new drugs also requires extensive time and immense financial investment. In conclusion, while it seems unlikely that diseases will disappear entirely in the near future, scientific innovation will certainly make them significantly more treatable, greatly increasing our life expectancy and quality of life.
