Solución: Dear Director-General, I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the alarming increase in vaping and nicotine addiction among young people worldwide. Although these devices were initially introduced as tools to help adult smokers quit, aggressive advertising and enticing fruit flavours have turned them into an alarming public health crisis. Schools and communities are witnessing adolescents succumb to severe nicotine dependency, while numerous medical studies link chemical aerosols from e-cigarettes to severe respiratory conditions. This trend threatens to reverse decades of progress achieved in tobacco control. To address this urgent matter, I would like to propose several actions. Firstly, the WHO should urge member states to ban all flavoured vaping products and enforce plain packaging. Additionally, comprehensive awareness campaigns must be launched across educational institutions and social media platforms to inform youth about the actual health hazards. Finally, strictly prohibiting digital marketing and online sales would restrict underage access. Thank you for considering these proposals to safeguard the wellbeing of the younger generation.
