6. Write a composition of 120-150 words on the following topic. Answer ALL the questions (4 points): What negative effects can videogame addiction cause in our personal lives? Do you think this type of addiction is taken seriously in Spain? Explain.

Solución: Sample answer: Videogame addiction has become a growing concern among teenagers and adults alike. This behavioral disorder can cause severe negative effects on our personal lives. First of all, excessive gaming often leads to social isolation, as individuals neglect relationships with friends and family. Additionally, it frequently harms academic or work performance due to sleep deprivation and lack of concentration. In extreme cases, it may also lead to physical health issues, such as eye strain and poor posture. Regarding the situation in Spain, I do not believe this addiction is taken sufficiently seriously. Although healthcare professionals have raised awareness, society often views excessive gaming as a harmless hobby rather than a genuine mental health issue. Consequently, families frequently lack the resources or specialized clinics required to seek timely assistance. In conclusion, videogame addiction poses real personal risks, and Spanish institutions must implement better awareness campaigns and support systems.
