A.5.- Write about 150 to 200 words on the following topic: Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of travelling to exotic destinations.

Solución: Sample answer: Nowadays, travelling to exotic destinations has become increasingly popular among people looking for unique experiences. While visiting distant and unfamiliar places offers many exciting opportunities, it also entails certain drawbacks that travellers must consider. On the one hand, exotic destinations allow individuals to immerse themselves in completely different cultures, traditions, and ways of life. Visiting places like Southeast Asia or the Amazon rainforest broadens one's perspectives, enriches personal knowledge, and encourages tolerance. Furthermore, these trips often provide breathtaking landscapes, distinctive gastronomy, and outdoor adventures that cannot be experienced at home. On the other hand, there are notable disadvantages. Long-distance travel is typically very expensive and requires thorough preparation, including vaccinations, visas, and health insurance. In addition, tourists may face communication barriers, cultural misunderstandings, or even health risks caused by unfamiliar food and climate. Mass tourism in fragile environments can also contribute to environmental degradation and the exploitation of local communities. In conclusion, although visiting exotic countries involves considerable costs and potential risks, the memorable life experiences and personal growth it provides make it truly worthwhile for those who plan ahead carefully.
