C2. The importance of listening to your parents. Should we always listen?

Solución: Sample composition (opinion essay, min. 120 words): Parents play a fundamental role in guiding us through life, and their advice is often invaluable. However, as young people grow and develop their own personalities, the question arises whether we should always follow their guidance blindly. To begin with, parents have vastly more life experience. They have faced hardships, made mistakes, and learned valuable lessons that can prevent us from taking wrong turns in education, health, and relationships. Their advice is almost always driven by love and a desire to protect us. Nevertheless, times change rapidly, and generational differences mean that parental views may not always align with modern realities or an individual's personal aspirations. As young adults, learning to make independent decisions and accepting the consequences of our own choices is an essential part of personal maturity. All in all, while we should always listen to and respect our parents' perspectives, we should not always feel obligated to follow their advice unquestioningly.
